Rear-wheel drive gives you better traction on even the roughest terrain. The Ninja Cutting System is designed to cut the grass into finer clippings, adding nutrients back into your yard faster. Also featuring self-propelled variable speed, you have the option to change your speed depending on how thick or rough your terrain is.

Bought to replace a 28yr. old Snapper mower that had served me well. This new mower has lived up to my expectations. Easy assembly and started right up. Just remember to have engine oil on hand none is provided. Would highly recommend.

We love this mower! Had our previous Snapper for almost 22 years! It still runs but needed several drive system parts and felt it was time for a new one. They have made many improvements to the Snapper in this time period. It's August in Florida and our lawn is no match for our new Snapper!

Purchase & delivery was very good.
Poor rating is due to the quality control from Snapper.

On the very 1st start:
The tip of the Ninja blade made contact with inside of the mower deck until a groove was worn in the metal.
Mower works ok but the groove is a permanent reminder of the defect.

I can supply pictures to the manufacturer if so desired

how can you make the snapper walk behind mower to pull both wheels at the same time. I tried it out on unlevel ground and one wheel just sat there and did nothing. it said it would transfer power to the wheel that was no turning.

Received mower in  the  factory  box  that was well packed with no damage. Mower was simple to assemble, and started up right away. Engine starts easy and then runs at full rpm , it does not have  or really need  a throttle control . Mower cuts well , putting out  fairly fine clippings. The top ground  speed  of the mower is as fast as you would  ever want to go and It pulls it self up hills  with no extra pushing effort.  The mower looks very well built with with good heavy duty components. Should last a long time.

There were problems right out of the box.  The metal rod that controls the speed of the self pulling engagement came loose and had to be repaired.
The cover that keeps the grass underneath screw broke within the first week.

This is a mower with good intentions but poor workmanship.

Review:
Outstanding mower!  Strong engine and solidly built.  I bought this mower to replace a Snapper mower I bought 25 years ago, which had been super dependable, so my expectations were very high.  I was not disappointed.

Although I'm a homeowner, I bought the commercial model because it has an oil filter and upgraded air filter that should help it withstand the heat and dust of South Texas.  I was also impressed with the brace at the bottom of the handle where it connects to the deck.  The brace takes out the flex that my old Snapper had.  I've also noticed the self-propelling feature has more range than my old Snapper, moving slower at the low range and faster at the high range.

The engine in the commercial Snapper is larger than my old Snapper, resulting in flawless cutting in high grass.  I tested it in a 'worst case' scenario by cutting an area next to a main road near my house that the city usually cuts with large trackers towing twin bladed lawn mower decks.  My new Snapper devoured grass and weeds that were knee high without a single problem.  Needless to say, I was pleased!

Finally, a few words about the excellent service Mowers-at-Jacks provided.  The mower was shipped UPS and was very well packed; the top of the box was filled with expanding foam encased in plastic bags, locking the mower in place during transit.  Although the box was torn open about the size of a fist en-route, and some minor parts were missing upon arrival, when I e-mailed Mowers-at-Jacks about it, they immediately sent out the missing parts without cost or fuss.  Their response e-mail was quick and apologetic, a major plus considering the damage en-route was not their fault.

Overall, I am very satisfied with my new Snapper, especially since I saved over $200 compared to buying it from a local dealer.  I look forward to another 25 years of dependable service from my new Snapper.
