Review:
Outstanding mower! Strong engine and solidly built. I bought this mower to replace a Snapper mower I bought 25 years ago, which had been super dependable, so my expectations were very high. I was not disappointed.
Although I'm a homeowner, I bought the commercial model because it has an oil filter and upgraded air filter that should help it withstand the heat and dust of South Texas. I was also impressed with the brace at the bottom of the handle where it connects to
the deck. The brace takes out the flex that my old Snapper had. I've also noticed the self-propelling feature has more range than my old Snapper, moving slower at the low range and faster at the high range.
The engine in the commercial Snapper is larger than my old Snapper, resulting in flawless cutting in high grass. I tested it in a 'worst case' scenario by cutting an area next to a main road near my house that the city usually cuts with large trackers towing
twin bladed lawn mower decks. My new Snapper devoured grass and weeds that were knee high without a single problem. Needless to say, I was pleased!
Finally, a few words about the excellent service Mowers-at-Jacks provided. The mower was shipped UPS and was very well packed; the top of the box was filled with expanding foam encased in plastic bags, locking the mower in place during transit. Although the
box was torn open about the size of a fist en-route, and some minor parts were missing upon arrival, when I e-mailed Mowers-at-Jacks about it, they immediately sent out the missing parts without cost or fuss. Their response e-mail was quick and apologetic,
a major plus considering the damage en-route was not their fault.
Overall, I am very satisfied with my new Snapper, especially since I saved over $200 compared to buying it from a local dealer. I look forward to another 25 years of dependable service from my new Snapper.
