Review:
While I haven't had a chance to properly use and evaluate this equipment, I did a short trial run and it appears to work exceptionally well.
This is my first time operating a sod cutter. However, after watching reviews of the old style (belt drive without hydrostatic controls) it would seem this is a far superior design. This machine is extremely easy to control even for someone without any
prior experience running a sod cutter.
The build quality is also top notch. Ryan turf company, although now owned by Bobcat, has a reputation for building machines that last for decades and I can certainly see why. I doubt the Honda engine on this machine will last as long as the machine itself
and that is saying something.
Mowers at Jack's had a great price and their customer service throughout the purchasing process has been exceptional. Their price was great and they answered questions that not even the manufacturer or my local dealer would answer. After waiting nearly
2 weeks to get a price and availability information from my local dealer I finally just ordered through Jack's. Fortunately, the freight company Jack's used did a great job getting this machine to me without damaging it.
One last point. Mowers at Jack's apparently offers free technical support. While this may not be relevant for many customers, I prefer to work on my own equipment. And to be able to have trained technicians available to walk me through a repair if I'm
not able to figure it out is reassuring.
