The Husqvarna 550 XP chainsaw is designed for experienced loggers and landowners. The combination of an X-Torq engine and AutoTune technology gives this saw optimal engine performance with reduced fuel consumption. The 550 XP is equipped with the rapid acceleration RevBoost, providing a higher chain speed for quicker cuts. Its three-piece crankshaft and magnesium crankcase are what's needed in a chainsaw that will endure extreme professional use.

Engine: 50.1cc X-Torq engine. 20% less fuel consumption and 60% less exhaust emission.
AutoTune: AutoTune gives optimal engine performance with no time spent on carburetor adjustments. It compensates for different fuels, altitude, humidity, temperature and clogged air filters.
Air Injection: Removes larger dust and debris particles before reaching the air filter, reducing air filter cleanings and improving engine life.
LowVib: The LowVib system reduces vibration levels to keep you energized during longer usage.
RevBoost: Rapid acceleration and higher chain speed provide faster cuts with exceptional limbing performance.
Side-mounted Chain Tensioner: Access is easier to chain tensioning device.
Slim Design: Low, slender saw body makes the chainsaw easy and convenient to handle in any situation.
Retained Bar Nuts: The retaining function prevents losing the bar nuts.

Review:

Excellent saw for home owners who cut quite a bit of firewood. Lighter than the Rancher so less fatigue after a day in the woods with it. Very happy with it.

I have a 550xp I purchased in 12-14, I'm a homeowner, what is the warranty on this saw, it stopped running and will not start. I thought it was warrantied for 2 years but cannot find where it said that. The confirmation for my registration is. 141215-000018. Saw serial # 20143200248.
