The Husqvarna 525PT5S pole saw features a telescopic tube that enables you to make quick height adjustments between 109 and 156 inches. Cut longer and higher with the Balance Flex harness that supports your back and shoulders while reaching those higher branches. At only 15.43 pounds, this pole saw combines its low weight and versatile design to keep you off the ladder, and stable on the ground.

X-Torq Engine: Provides rapid acceleration and high torque, but with low emissions and fuel consumption.
Balance Flex: Ergonomically designed harness to give support and reduce strain while operating.
Rear Impact Guard: The rear-impact guard protects the engine from unnecessary wear and damage.
Stand Alone Starter: Easy to change starter cord if needed.
Chain Lubrication: Conveniently place adjustable, automatic chain lubrication ability.
Auto Return Stop Switch: The stop switch resets to the ON position so, it's ready for the next startup.

My last pile saw was manual so I can’t say I know much but this thing cuts really well, runs good and starts easily. It will wear you out but I don’t know how it compares to others weight wise. Saved me a lot of money paying a tree company. I know that.

Probably the best gas pole saw you can buy. I suffered with a cheap saw by another manufacturer (name starts with a P) that never did run (or even start, for that matter) correctly without my having to pull it apart and practically rebuild the carb each time. I looked at other less expensive saws, but as I have two other Husqvarna tools, a blower and a 4 stroke trimmer, that always start and run without a hitch, I decided to spend the extra money and buy this saw. I am very glad that I did. It has the longest reach of all the saws available (13'), and also the longest bar (12"). I have already used it to limb dozens of my trees and it has done a great job doing it. I can shut the saw down while I remove debris, and then restart it with just 1 or 2 pulls when it's time to cut again. Also, having the telescoping pole is extremely handy for cutting various heights of limbs without having to use something to stand on to reach higher than other shorter saws would allow. I'm not sorry at all that I spent extra to buy the best an most useful saw.

Saw arrived as promised was easy to assemble. Start up was no problem, and the saw is very powerful making easy work of a number of live oak limbs up to 4 inches in diameter. I would strongly recommend using the harness unless your some kind of freak with Popeye arms as the unit does get heavy after a while.
