This mower offers optimal cutting performance and has a 300 lbs. towing capacity for help with yard work beyond just mowing. A 52 inch mower deck allows you to cover ground quickly and has 13 different cutting positions to deliver a perfect cut every time. The Hydro-Gear transmission allows you to drive this mower like a car with a non-shifting transmission to reach speeds of up to 7 mph to breeze through your lawn quickly. And, maximum operator comfort is enhanced with features such as the high back plush seat and arm rests for all day comfort.

Kohler 7000 Series Engine: Maximum cutting power is available with the Kohler 7000 Series engine that allows you to reach up to 24 HP and 725cc to breeze through your lawn quickly.
Hydro-Gear Transmission: This Hydrostatic Hydro-Gear transmission eliminates shifting while reaching forward speeds of up to 7 mph.
52 inch Fabricated Cutting Deck: Cover lots of ground with the 52 inch fabricated cutting deck that has 4 support positions to prevent excessive deck movement for sturdy mowing. Fabricated decks also maximize air flow under the deck for an exceptional cut every time. Choose between 13 different cutting positions ranging from 1.5-4.5 inches for a perfect cut every time.

The mower has performed as expected, which is to say that it works very well. All of my experiences with Jack's has been positive. I would rank their customer service among the top of all vendors that I work with or have worked with. The mower arrived in perfect condition and ready to mow. I had one [small] follow-up service item, and it was immediately addressed and to my satisfaction.

Review:

It's a great mower and it really handles well. I have had mine a full season and always wait to leave a review until I put some significant hours on the motor. The only drawback to this mower is that the chute, which already needs to be replaced after one season. However, that is to be expected, because everything is hardened rubber these days. Maintenance is easy, spark plugs are easily accessible, oil and oil filter are the hardest, but YouTube has a great Ariens maintenance videos to help out with that. Oh, lastly regarding maintenance, you will need an impact driver to get those blades off and always a good idea, because apply torque by hand while the mower is jacked up is not a good idea. Regarding the engine, I thought about getting the more expensive Kawasaki, but I have been really happy with the Kohler engine and it runs like a clock.
