This is an excellent mower. I chose the 46-inch model because I have limited space in my garage, and because I wanted the 23-inch blades. I haven't planted grass yet since buying a home on two acres, and the weeds are tough. My 42-inch tractor type
mower required two or more passes to do a decent job in some areas. My theory was that blades two inches longer would be moving at a higher speed at the tips, and cut better. That proved correct with the RZ4623, because it cuts a clean path through the weeds
at 6 1/2 miles per hour, without leaving anything standing. The larger mowers have three blades instead of two, and most are a lot shorter than 23-inches.
I'm 76 years old, but adapted fairly quickly to the entirely new method of guiding the mower, and I really appreciate how much faster it gets the job done in half the time.
Now the bad part of this review: the idle pulley on the drive belt froze up after mowing my yard one time. I am guessing this could be a problem with a parts supplier used by Husqvarna, but I haven't seen any other reports of this happening. A Husqvarna
dealer, A1 Small Engine Repair of Gainesville, Texas, picked up the mower and repaired it I'm happy say.
The problem some reviews mentioned of the exhaust killing the grass when the mower is stopped with the engine running appears to have been solved with a new design for the muffler. Jacks delivered the mower to North Texas very promptly. You probably will
want to pay the charge for lowering it to the ground instead of hiring a crew. A tip, someone will want the crate, so leave it as intact as possible and put a notice in Freecycle or Craigslist to give it away.
I really like this mower.
